Me and the english

Thinking about my experience learning English, can be resumed in this idea: "School taught me some rules that I don't remember, and interacting with native speakers trough games was more useful!".
In my case it's the truth, talk in English with people was more useful instead learn some rules, for example I don't know how many times some teacher taught the present perfect, from school to high school.

Now, talking about my experience learning english at university, it's different than school, because I'm in english 4, and it's supposed that I know all the basics rules for english, so I don't learn English, not like school, I practice English here, obviously you can learn something new that you didn't know, but my english at the university has been more practice that learning according to me.

For example, we have to write blogs, and it's a fantastic idea, because most of the times the blog theme it's interesting, making the redaction fun, and making it a non-tedious activity (it's hard to learn and have fun in my case), so, blogs are very good, It's a good idea to use blogs for the english learning.

Now, I know there's a long way for me if we talk about english, you can always improve, but now, my weakness in my opinion are pronunciation and hearing. They are basics for conversations, so my plan it's practice my pronunciation alone or with friends that I know they have good pronunciation, and the hearing, my plan it's watch series in english without subtitles, and try to understand it, also understand what some songs say without reading the letter.

I want to improve in english, because I use it a significant amount of time, when I play a game and have to talk with my teammates, when I hear a song and don't want to search the letter, when I read some news in the internet and it's writed in english, when I sing a song in english, I use it every day practically.

Changes to my study programme

There some aspects of this career to talk about, and I'm gonna talk about them because I can.
So, about the curriculum, it's fine, I mean, sometimes I think "This is useful? Can I use it in my day to day or my future job?", but, maybe it's just  me.
About the teaching methods, I have nothing to say, because, teachers do what they can, it's hard to do an interactive class with a full room of students, you can't, so it's fine, the theoretical class it's theoretical, the practical class it's practical, you learn making the things, so, it's okay, may there are "better" teacher than others, because they have charm, but the teaching methods are practically equals.
Now, when I think in the workload and length of studies, one questions comes to my mind, and its "why my first class its at the 8:30 AM and my last class finish at the 6:20, having a 4 hours window in the same day?" I don't know who did the time table, but I hate it with my soul, so, I don't know, maybe an improvement of timetables for students? All of this without thinking in some tests after the class schedule...
The use of technology it's fine too, I can't think about other instances where we need the use of technology, obviating when we use them, and when we use them it's fine, computers work, internet works, it's everything what we need.
Talking now about the faculty facilities, classrooms are good, laboratory it's good, everything seems good, maybe my only repair it's about the tables, they are too small, I barely fit my arm with my notebook in that space.
But if we think about it well, this is my first semester, I haven't been long enough to analyze carefully this aspects of the career.

What I think about...

What I think about immigration?
Well, my opinion about immigration isn't hard to understand, it's good only if it's made with control, regulation, and now i'm gonna explain why.
The control is necessary, you need to keep safe people, and for this,  you need to know who is in your country, how they get in, not only to keep safe the citizens of your country, also to keep safe the immigrants, that can be cheated with a promise of better life, and they end up working for a misery, without protection because they get in this country in an illegal way, so the state doesn't know about there existence, obviating the fact that they probably don't know the language, so it's difficult to ask for help.
The regulation goes from the hand with the control, a good immigration protocol it's needed, I know that by empathy we should allow some immigrants to stay in the country and get a better life, or try at least, but we can't allow all the immigrants that want a better life, it's a huge demographic change that we don't know if can be supported by the state.

What I think about climatic change?
This isn't hard to explain, the climatic change is real, the last decade was the hottest in recorded history, we need to create awareness, as Leonardo DiCaprio did when he get his oscar (but ironically he made his stylist come on an emergency flight in his private jet to touch up his hair and eyebrow), we need to preserve the world and not ruin it anymore.

Synesthesia

The synesthesia, in neurophysiology, it's the joint assimilation or interference of various types of sensations of different senses of the same perceptual act. In simple words, synesthesia could let you smell colors, taste an image, etc...
ejemplos sinestesia humana
The main characteristics of this illnes are the the cross perception and association, for example, there is a case of a man that every letter "A" that he read, he saw it read, no matter what color the "A" had, he sees her red. But this is only the "color synesthesia", becuase  there are other types of synesthesia, like the temporary one, produced by hallucinogenic drugs, or the "taste synesthesia", that, how his name says, allows you to feel some flavour when shou shouldn't. Also, exists another clasification for the synesthetes, the superior synesthetes and the lower synesthetics, clasification based on wich part of the brain is the anomalo gene (yes, the people who have synesthesia since they birth  have it for an anomalo gene, commonly heredated by parents)
How many persons are affected remain uncertain, but it's known that affect mainly autistic people.
Actually there are no treatement to control it, because isn't a big problem, the people affected by some kind of synesthesia says that it's another way to "see" the world.
As I said previously, have synesthesia isn't a big problem, because it doesn't affect significantly in how you work, how are your relations, you social life, or family.

Post Graduate Studies

There was a time where go to university was a privilege, when a title was enough to be a successful person, and have a good life, but now, with the easier access to superior studies, most of people can get a title, so the title doesn't have the "weight" that it had before, because, if everyone have a title, you need something more to stand out about the rest and be elected for a job, there's where diplomas, master degree or PhD degree make their entrance.
I know that today my title as Pharmacist isn't enough to compete in the working market, so, I have to go beyond and get some of the post graduate studies mentioned above, but I think the first reason why I would study after finishing my career it's the personal overcoming, over the need that today are post graduate studies.

Maybe the PhD  in Pharmaceutical sciences it's what I will choose after finish Pharmacy, because from my perspective, it gives you a bigger "weight" than other post graduate studies that I could choose.

Where I would like to study it's a hard decision, because make a long trip to study sounds interesting, but for my comfort, Chile it's the obvious option.
Now, how I would like to study it's the part-time course, because the PhD costs money, so I need a job to pay it, and the part-time course it's the only way to study and job.

The job that I would like

When I think in a job that I would like to do, always think in an outdoor job, in the most of cases as a Rock band singer.
Maybe the principal reason why I would love this job it's what I feel when I sing, because, of course, this job always have great things if you manage to excel, like money, travels, and others, but I never felt something so rewarding as sing a song with all your breath, the fullness, the energy, the entrance what you feel when the letters leave your mouth.

Of course, as a singer of a band, travels are part the job, and i don't care if I have to travel a lot, so, if the job requires it, I can do it.
About the salary, I think first I must finish the career and get a job to have money, and, in free times, worry about being singer, but, if I reach certain fame, the money, I guess, shouldn't be a problem.
Now I am studying pharmacy to get his correspondent major. But I didn't choose it because with this major can I get my loved dream, I choose it because it has lots of chemistry, something that I "like", can earn money easily in the jobs that I will be qualified (technically), and it has a high employability, so there are the reasons why I am studying this career with no relation with the job that I would like.

I think it's all, maybe something that I can say it's that I love sing, and that's because being payed for do it seems  attractive to me.

The music in my life

When I think in music, the first thing that come to my head it's power, energy, a feeling of well being, so, as you can see, the music it's an important thing in my life, it makes it nicer and entertaining.
My preferences in music are varied, I can hear whoever that I think has a good voice, or have a great instrumental, but in most of cases I hear rock or nu metal.
Something that I love to hear are violins, they have a beautiful sound, and, when they are played with quickness (and precision obviously), I can feel the energy running through my body. In the same way than violins, I love the piano, for the same reasons than violins, but, also, how they can play a serious  note while an acute note it's played, these contrast are awesome, I love the piano for this reason. Another instrument that I like it's guitar, acoustic or electric, I think the guitar have a lot of versatility at the time of playing, of course, you can't play two different notes as the piano, but, you can make it sound like the most peaceful and beautiful thing, as you can make it sound like  most brutal thing you ever heard.
Maybe the singer what I like most it's Serj Tankian, he is the first vocalist of System of a Down, an Armenian Nu metal band (because all members have Armenian ascendance), and it has a solo career, in this career has the songs that I like the most, like Harakiri, Empty walls, Gate 21, etc..
Maybe i don't agree with some messages of their songs, but that doesn't avoid me hear those amazing songs.

When I was younger, I didn't hear music, only when I was 14 years old I started to hear music, and what I like didn't changed so much. Now, if i had to talk about the music that disgust me, I will not think so much, i disgust the music with a mediocre voice, with a flat instrumental, like reggaeton, I can't hear this music by myself, I only hear it in parties because I don't have another option.
In the movies, I don't pay attention at the music, maybe because I have not seen a movie with a good music, but if I have to elect some music from movies, that are the music from infinity war, isn't the great thing, but it's perfect by the time they place it, especially for the arrival of Thor in Wakanda.
For music appreciation i can't say something, maybe see the complex of the music, I'm not saying that the complex music it's always better, but, that means more work and dedication, that usually translates into quality.

My favourite book and film.

If i had to think about my favourite book, isn't hard to choose one. My favourite book is the pillars of the earth, writed by Ken Follet.
Resultado de imagen para the pillars of the earth synopsis
I remember when I read this book, it was in the autumn of 2016, I had lots of free time, because my lyceum was on strike, so, with no school i needed something to spend time, and there's where the book enter.
The first reason why I decided to read this book it's because I heard a joke about how long the book is, like 1200 pages, so I took it like a personal challenge. But when the reading began, began the fun.
About the book, it has more than one protagonist, narrating parallel stories that intersect in some points of the plot. And there's a reason why I like this book, there's a lot of characters, but every character have his own characterisation, they aren't flat, you "see" them, and have patterns that seems very human, you can empathise with them, and do the try to feel what they feel.
Resultado de imagen para los pilares de la tierra(a map of the places of the book)

But, although the characters are the most important thing on every story, they aren't all, the story per se, the plot,  has an important roll, it makes the character what they are, and the story behind characters it's so catchy, you want to know what happens after, and how they will reach the end, because the synopsis says something like "the story began with the hanging of an innocent, and ends with the humiliation of a king", and, at least in me case, it provoked a need reach the end of the book and know how those things are related.
Another thing that I find relevant to tell it's how the book tell the story, how with his descriptions let you imagine all the places, the faces with emotions, but not limiting you with  excessively detailed descriptions.
If I had to recommend this book, the reason should be the characters, characters that you can feel real when they pass through your eyes in the paragraphs, characters with fears, problems, objectives, and strength to reach his objectives, characters that makes you feel caught until you see they are "safe".
Now, in a completely different theme, but related with the title of my post, my favourite film.
I don't like so much the films, I didn't watch yet a film who makes me feel like a book makes me feel, but if there's a film that i like more than others it's "the boy and the beast", a netflix film that I saw like one year before, on this in these dates.
Resultado de imagen para el niño y la bestia netflix
I like this film because the premise sounds attractive, "a boy who lose his mother follow an stranger to another dimension filled with anthropomorphic animals, and the stranger it's a bear who teach the boy how use the sword",that sounds very attractive, and that's why I saw it.
Now, the story it's okay, isn't a masterpiece, but it's very good, the characters have good chemistry, the plot advances good, not too fast to think "wait, what's happening, why he's doing that", or too slow, reaching the boring , it advances with the exact speed.
I recommend this film because it's funny, can be entertaining and works if you want to spend your time, and the characters aren't complex or deep, but you can empathise with them, and make the experience better with his interactions.

The best holiday I've had

If I have to think in the best holiday that I've had, certainly were this summer, in Putaendo, a place near San Felipe, located  in the fifth region of Valparaiso.Resultado de imagen para Putaendo, Chile
I have a few words about the places where I went, because they aren't relevant. I were in San Felipe like a half hour, another half hour on the trip from San Felipe to Puteando, and forty five minutes on the trip from Putaendo to my uncle's house, and after that I didn't leave my uncle´s house, his terrain specifically, so i can talk only about my uncle's house.
It's a small terrain with fruit trees, some fruits that grow there are pomegranates, peaches, walnuts and almonds,  if my memory works. Also, my uncle own's some bees, and practice the apiculture, interesting in my opinion. About the house, there's no much to say, it's small, but it's everything that you need to live, with a workshop in the back.
My stay was short, only four days, but in those days I learned a lot. My uncle work making marionettes and selling it, so he teach me about how make marionettes and the correct form to use the machines that he use on his work.
The reason why I think this the best holiday that I've had it's because I discovered a love for make marionettes. It's very wonderful imagine something and, through the patience
and wood, bring it to reality, for example this panda that  I made:

Or this Chameleon, that took me 10 hours without the painting or the threads collocation:

I love make marionettes and expect return to Putaendo to keep doing this, becuase it's a very filling and relaxing activity.

A country I would like to visit

If there's some place that i want to go over others it's Armenia, for some reasons that I will try to explain in the next paragraph.
There's a band called System of a Down, and the wrote a song called "holy mountains", that is about the Armenian genocide, and for this song I did an investigation from my old school, because I found interesting this theme, and now,  I have a desire to know more about it, but no the things that you can read in a book or an article from internet, I want to visit the monuments, the museums, and learn about his culture, traditions and history in a deep way.Mapa de Armenia
I don't remember a lot of things about Armenian culture, i remember that they were between 4 country's, and for this reasons they were invaded for territory, by, if my memory works, Persians and Turks. Also, were the Turks that are responsible about the Armenian genocide, by the systematic killing of Armenian people and the exile of them. Curiously, most of the Armenian died in the dessert, starved to death or dehydrated.
The Armenian Genocide memorial complex (Tsitsernakaberd).JPGIf I ever go to Armenia, would visit the tsitsernakaberd (literally Swallow's Fortress), a monument who was build to commemorate the victims of the genocide. A thing that i find interesting of this monument it's the eternal flame that it has, in a depth of 1.5 meters, in dedication to the 1.5 millions of victims.
Another things that I would like to do here could be taste the typical food, i don't know about the food, but I heard good critics about the vegetables and fruits harvested in Armenia, so I expect tasty food of high quality. Also i heard that the nature of Armenia it's beautiful, so take a guided visit can be in my plans too.

To finish, i don't have enough information to decide if live in Armenia it's a good idea, may study there could be a possibility, but i'm fine studying in Chile, so i think my trip to Armenia will be only to visit the country.
